this train was en route to the greenbrier. fill us in. what do we know?anna, that's essentially what we know right now is that this was a train carrying a group of republican congressmen to this retreat in west virginia. they left union station this morning. they were taking a train to greenbrier west virginia where this retreat is taking place. unclear exactly where the accident happened as of yet but what is clear is that according to this republican aide whose congressman is actually on this train and was speaking with him on the phone, the train reportedly hit a truck at some point on its journey between washington and greenbrier, west virginia. some injuries were reported. the aide told me some doctors were tending to some of the injured members on that train. it's unclear as of now how serious the injuries are. the sense that i got from this aide was that the injuries were not too serious, but it is still early to be able to tell that. again, this is second happened. but we have been toll by multiple sources at this point that this has happened. som

attention to occurred on what was supposed to be a relatively leisurely train ride down to the greenbrierotel. >> we're about to hear from the president. you're there in charlottesville by the train station, just 60 seconds, is everyone safe, on buss and head ed on down to the greenbrier? is everyone okay? >> reporter: that's exactly right. everybody is safe and on buses. at least one congressman, perhaps another one, went to the hospital to get checked. both those individuals have said they're okay. there are no major problems. i was told it was more people were stunned and unsettled by what occurred. bumps and bruises, people thrown across aisles. as you noted, family members were with them, no family members were injured. more than anything else, everybody was shaken up and, more than anything else, everybody very concerned about the individuals in the garbage truck. one individual that died but also the other individual who they were administering care to, who i'm told was very seriously injured, people trying to keep that individual in their thoughts and prayers. as far as lawmakers,
