green bean casserole. ♪ ♪ >>> so green beans are tape tell at so many of our holiday forums.and big casserole. >> trying to be healthy, right? but you can get a little bit more creative. you can be healthy and have some fun like with this green bean recipe. ♪ >> today we're going to recreate mississippi green beans and ham. this used to be favorite side dish we had to take the off the menu. very simple procedure really. and the end product is outstanding. first thing you're going to do, put in quarter pound of butter into your saute pan. add garlic. going to be half a cup of chopped garlic. mix that up a little bit. here we have pieces of ham. fat jack's we actually use hickory smoked pulled pork but most of you don't have smokers at home so you can substitute ham. next add your ham into the garlic and butter. that's about three quarters of a pound of ham. so give this mixture a minute or two. just want to incorporate it altogether. now we're ready to add our green beans. you can use fresh or frozen. i happen to like frozen they're a little wetter, little moist for me. feel f
