well, we have been talking about greenland block. this is greenland.re is warm air blowing from the atlantic oag westward and warmer in hudson bay and greenland than it is in chicago. see this blue area right here. this warm air running over the top of it kind of traps this cool air here in effect there is a big 1069-milibar high that's off the charts up here in greenland. that's warm air dome. i saw ship out in the atlantic that had 60 degree temperatures yesterday while we peaked at 25. actually warmer north than here. and this weird, weird set up. sets up a jet stream pattern along the cold pool that's right in this area and see how the jet kind of arcs around it and then blows westward. brings warm air off the atlantic and traps cold air here. so that's a peculiar situation but that's the kind of thing we dealt with in the last couple of winters mp when you hear us talk about a greenland block, what's going on temperature are 29 northside learning center. hickory hills 30 and naperville at 27 degrees. and it's good-bye this system and hello the nex
