i've been studying greenland or the last more than a decade or so now. and i've always had this feeling consistent with the i p. c. c that the amount of ice coming out of greenland would be modest, something about half the amount of this study. so this study is a really surprising result and i believe it's quite credible. i know we're putting it down a broad brush strokes to, to blur climate change. but what is actually happening on our kind of more technical level? can you talk us through why the ice is actually changing? yes. the broadest level, the polar regions, the arctic in particular, is the most sensitive place on earth to climate change of study a week or so ago, demonstrated one part of the arctic is warming 7. i repeat 7 times faster than anywhere else on earth. this has to do with the fact that ice disappears. it is white, it no longer reflects sunlight, and the blue ocean starts absorbing. so the arctic is the place where we're seen enormous change and that's what the green on ice sheet is located. and so we're talking about a minimum increa
