the river is rising following yesterday's storm kron four's joey horta has more now from greenville. >> this is fife creek here. a tributary to the russian river and is blocking the entrance to this hotel goes far off road all the way up to the front door of the hotel. on the other side of the creek behind those trees. you can see there is a home back there that appears to be flooded by the creek flood stage on the russian rivers. 32 feet in guerneville. the river has hit 36 feet this morning according to noaa, we spotted a man earlier paddling a canoe through a street. he's out assessing damage a parking lot underneath the apartment building is flooded and a couple of cars on the street are surrounded by water. some folks tell us they decided not to evacuate and they stayed here. they continue to live here year after year of flooding because they say it's cheap here. woke up in. we've got a lot of we're safe in and we'll hope for the best. >> we moved from san francisco and this is where we ended up. somewhere where we can afford. >> this is a little worse attire seems like it happe
