christina greer, professor with ford m university. thank you for joining me on a friday night.h this, my professional mentor when i was undergrad said all politics is local. there's a tendency to take everything in the media to make everything and make it some part of a grand philosophical agenda. take us first, how does eric adams, a former police officer in a city wracked with protest last year, how does he end up being likely the second african-american mayor of new york city? >> i totally agree all politics is local and it's been so frustrating to watch people paint broad strokes. if you look at the voting map, roughly percent of the voting public showed up on early voting. but if you look at eric adams' strategy, he let five of his challengers fight over manhattan and part of gent identified brooklyn and he took the rest of the city. he was also one of the eight top candidates. only two, eric adams and scott had won elections before. so, everyone else was a political newcomer relatively speaking. if we walk through all the ways eric adams won, there are lots of homeowner w

i was at the front of our greer and determined we have to push our way through the crowd in order tose proper. so i began shouting make way as i forged ahead hoping that i'm clearing a path for others behind me to follow. however, as i looked back i saw the rest of the group came under attack and were unable to follow. the crowd attempted to physically bar the rest of the platoon from following. i backtracked and started pulling the terrorists off my team from backpacks and collars. around this time one of the terrorists who scaled the scaffolding through something heavy down at me and struck me in the head, disorienting me. i suspect this resulted in the likely concussion i dealt with in the weeks after. another man attempted to disarm me of my baton and again we wrestled for control. he kicked many me my chest as we went to the ground. i was able to retain my baton again but i ended on my hands and knees and blind. the medical mask i was wearing to protect myself from the coronavirus was pulled up over my eyes so i couldn't see. i braced myself against the impact of the blows and f
