[laughter] greg: true or false. realizing the depth and magnitude of the climate crisis has moved you to tears? gov. inslee: interesting question. i have cried a few times in my life, i'm thinking of my dad right now. i'm not sure if i have cried about climate change, but i have been very emotionally impacted when i am down at the beach with my grandkids. we would go down to the beach and my dad what shelby the little critters under remember being fascinated by them. favoriter my mom's flowers in the alpine meadows on the slopes of mount rainier. i went to the beach with my three grandkids and i realized their grandkids or their kids may not be able to enjoy all the joys i have had. fundamentally this is about humans, it is about our joy, places to ski, clams today, fish to catch, clean air to breathe. this is a human issue. everybody talks about the planetary crisis. the planet earth is going to be fine. it is humans that are in trouble. [laughter] so it is very emotionally compelling to me. this gets me back to wh

greg: we are seeing big impacts. something where you don't have to wait multiple years to test an idea. the thing that really helped, is that we went from a world where it took maybe half a decade to a decade to bring a concept or technology out of the lab and into the field, to a place where we are doing it in a matter of months. alix: some of the buzzwords are things like spacing, how far can you space them apart, do it remotely and drill remotely, recoveries increasing the amount of oil you get out. what are technologies you're looking at to help in those areas? greg: we have been able to put together technologies around completion design, stacking of the wells or how we lay them out geometrically in the subsurface. by doing that we are increasing the recovery factory. we are getting over 20% recovery factor in eagle for, which is astronomical. most people were thinking this was a single digit type of rock or single digit type of recovery you would get out of these rocks and we find we are able to do much more tha
