we have team coverage of this winter storm starting with greg fishel. greg? >> all right deb from raleigh south and east this has transformed into a liquid event so nothing to worry about tonight but we'll talk about the areas that do have something to worry about in just a minute. here's the radar color coated so you can see the areas that are still experiencing freezing rain and drizzle and the green areas indicating in liquid form and that boundary will be moving to the north and west overnight. let's check out the current temperatures right now so basically if your air temperature is at 32 or higher the ice event is over. so rocky mount, the 31 you see there is actually at rdu close to 32 in raleigh itself. about. raleigh durham airport points north and west where it's 31 or lower there's a chance of a little bit of ice this evening before temperatures there go up and get above freezing overnight. let's take a look at the projection here. don't take it literally because the gradient is so tight it's tough to tell exactly where it will be on any one given

. >> now, for a look at the timing of this winter weather system, let's go to greg fishel. >> already. jarl well probably the operative weather you said could bring parts of snow to the parts of area tomorrow. as we take a look at some of the latest trends not only with regard to model guidance but also the real atmosphere we don't see anything all that impressive going on. so this is going to be a wait and see thing. we were tracking this dark area, the earlier this arch was up over nebraska. this is what's associated with this upper level disturbance which would spawn the development of this area of low pressure along the coast. and then if that low got quick enough and through moisture back into eastern north carolina, that would be the mechanism behind which we would get the snow tomorrow. but there are some indications, that this system is not all that terribly potent and it's not going quickly enough to be able to throw snow all the wake way let's take a look at the probabilities in terms of what is most likely to happen. we showed you you this earlier this evening. you see all
