nbc's lee ann greg is in chelan, washington. that's a tourist town surrounded by residents. to get out? >> reporter: so far everyone was able to get out. there are evacuation orders for thousands of people across this region. usually in chelan, on a typical weekend, tens of thousands of tourists would be here. not the case now. many of the resorts are empty. so far up to 75 homes, businesses and buildings have been destroyed and many more are threatened. much of the town lost power over the weekend. slowly that's being restored, but still, there's no internet orland line phone servi or land line phone service, and many are wondering what's next with these unpredictable winds. 200 members of the coast guard, including five different teams with especially trained hand crews, they're competing across the west for resources since there are so many major wildfires. in idaho, 50 homes burned, 75 buildings. in oregon, another huge fire destroyed 25 homes. more are expected as the count continues. again, these fires will continue throughout the week. temperatur will remain hot and d
