greg lee. the fire broke out just after 630 tonight at a public storage facility in san jose on blossom hill and cordell roads. that's where we find kvue's lamonica peters and lamonica. still a lot of activity out there at this hour . yes yes, it is. you know, san jose fire officials told us when they arrived here sometime after six, this was a two alarm fire. but it continued to grow. and i'm going to step back so you can see that they are still fighting this fire right now. but they did tell us that. so far, no one has been reported hurt and that everyone is safe. dark smoke can be seen pluming from the public storage on blossom hill road and cordle road in san jose. a loud popping sounds were heard coming from the storage building. it's very close to the firehouse and crews arrived quickly and reported a large working structure fire in some type of storage facility as the fire grew from a two alarm fire to a three alarm fire. the intersection was blocked off, causing traffic delays in the area. so we parked the car and i'm just going to walk right over to the other side. yeah because the smoke is so thick, even on the freeway, it's like it's hard to

greg lee ktvu fox two news. new at ten. police are investigating a fatal shooting in oakland's maxwell park neighborhood. ktvu is lamonica peters joins us now. she's at oakland police headquarters with the latest on what happened. lamonica. yeah, we don't have a lot of information about this case, but some of the neighbors we spoke to tell us that there have been multiple incidents of crime in recent months. now, this shooting happened around 6:00, according to oakland police. and of course, it was still daylight at the time. but so far, witnesses. one neighbor we spoke to says he would see this victim in his yard from time to time and he believes the man was in his mid 50s. he says, of course, there's been multiple thefts. home break-ins, speeding and robberies in recent years as well. and we heard that this could have been an attempted robbery, but oakland police haven't confirmed that. now, this neighbor also talked about the lack of police presence in this area. and although he did not want his face shown on camera, he did tell us about the growing concerns of people in the area. everybody is frustrated about it. and we're
