>> well, greta. what we can tell you is that police are still trying to determine exactly how this inmate was able to disarm an officer. the details we are learning tonight is that this inmate was able to at least fight two of those bailiffs including a county sheriff's duty here from berrien county in saint joseph, michigan, about 100 miles east of chicago. when he was able to get the gun, he gunned down two of those bailiffs, killing them. he also struck one of the deputies. then he broke loose into the hallway where he was also able to hit a civilian in the shoulder. that person is expected to recover. then the suspect was shot by some of the responding officers who were here very quickly within a matter of minutes after the calls went out that there was some sort of scuffle that was taking place inside of the courthouse here on the third floor. that is what we know at this point. as far as further details about that inmate, we are still awaiting another press conference that is supposed to takes
