host: gretchen morganson returns to the "washington journal" this morning.ve asked her to return to talk about her new book called "reckless endangerment" how greed and corruption led to arm feden. you tell us since 2008 a number of books have come out looking at various aspects of the cause of the financial crisis. how does your book differ from them? >> one of the main differences is we tried to really find out who was involved? who was central to laying the groundwork for the crisis. and we really had to go back in time a significant amount, as far as back as the early 1990's. because the pain is still being felt today, and that didn't happen overnight. some of the other books that were written were either crisis moments, what was happening in september, 2008. or they looked back in time and concluded it was sort of like a tsunami, like an act of god. but what we really feel is that this was an act of man. this was not a force ma major or act of god. and we wanted to find out who those people were. >> in the book, you talk about an event that president bi
