griff jenkins with details, good morning, griff.ff: good morning, heather, no sleep for the election officials or lawyers here in broward county, this is the election office headquarters and you see attorneys for the republicans and democrats in here. the board of canvas members is also in session, they have to be here along with court reporters but this is really the most interesting part of it. if you look in here this is the actual recount, if you will, 10 machines in there, two more being brought in. let me quickly tell you about what's happening, what's happening right now separating first before recount begins, they want to find out what number of total votes there are. attorneys tell me it's over 700,000 but part of governor scott's lawsuit is against supervisor here brenda snipes in relevant to that total number of vote counts. yesterday i spoke to lead attorneys for both democrats and republicans about the supervisor here dr. brenda snipes, here is what they had to say. >> brenda snipes might be under person and might have

steve: griff jenkins live on the border in tijuana. thanks, griff.ng in the san diego paper this morning there are a number of doctors if tijuana. we have a lot of patients who live in san diego that come down there. because the border was closed on sunday and crackdown, it's hard for them to see their patients. jedediah: it's really crazy if you think about this. what is the solution going to be? what are they actually going to do? trump is saying i will shut down the border it seems like he doesn't have the authority to actually do that he would need congressional authority to do it. what's going to happen here? brian: 98 people involved in sunday's raids were sent out by mexico. they have no shot of asylum. their names have been taken and they have been tossed. if you want to send a message to these migrants and if you want to send a message to mexico sings this is their problem as well as our problem, maybe they will get tougher on their southern border and won't be so permissive sending buss in some cases to expedite their trip up to our border.

griff? griff: hey, neil the manual recount in the senate race has ended and so too have senator bill nelson's chances of a political comeback. let me take you inside the broward elections office you see here they're counting and tabulating some other races, the agriculture secretary but here the story. broward was nelson's best chance of flipping this race. we're told in the beginning by nelson's attorneys there are 25,000 votes here not counted that was not the case. yesterday they counted 31,000 over and under votes, of which only 447 were over votes, though could have gone nelson's way we'll find out the total tally but at the end of the day, the math just isn't here for nelson. the really only question that remains is whether or not the supervisor of elections here, dr. brenda snipes, will continue to keep her job, a lot of scrutiny on her and the way she's handled this race and some in the past. i caught up with her yesterday. here is what she had to say. >> things are going as planned.

griff?counties in florida are doing machine recounts at this hour. let me show you this, though, because all eyes are on broward county which has a history of being on these stories on election recounts. that is the lawyers and members of the media trying to get inside there. and we have a camera inside right now we can show you. this is what's happening. the logic and accuracy testing. they're doing testing on these machines that will begin the recount within the hour, and that will lead us to the next day deadline, which is thursday, november 15th, when the second unofficial returns are due. if any of those in the governor, senate, or guttural commissioner are under the .25%, quarter percent hand recount is ordered for the overvote and undervotes. now, you've got a very tice race here, rick scott and bill nelson just under 15,000 votes separate them and then of course in desantis and gillum, that just under 34,000, but all eyes are on the supervisor of elections here, dr. brenda snipes, a

for the latest, we go to griff jenkins. lot going on. what do we need to know?er: lisa, good afternoon. you need to know that the vote count here, the recount in broward county at one point was in serious question, whether they were going to meet their deadline. take a look. they are 55% to 65% done with the recount. they did the early votes. that's about 65% of the entire vote. they've got to finish the mail in and day of the vote. they believe they are easily going to meet the 3:00 p.m. deadline tomorrow. should be finished sometime tomorrow morning. these machines, by the way, much more newer, much more capable than the ones up in palm beach county, where it's quite in question whether they're going to want to meet their deadline. we were hearing the election supervisor there, susan booker, saying they fixed the machines and are starting to recount ballots that have to be recounted a second time because of the problems. it's really in question as to what happens if palm beach county doesn't meet it. folks here say they are going to meet it and the lawyers who
