>> dave, we have a good beat from groupon on both sides. four cents a share beating street estimates of two cents and revenue a big beat on the 718.04 million the street was looking for. right now shares look to be up 13%, 15% actually in after-hours. liz: interesting that the options market was showing no matter what the numbers we would sing either up 18% or down 18%. we're very close to that now. huge jump for groupon. this was a company struggling about three quarters ago. a lot of people said, you should have taken the google money and run. google offer ad couple billion dollars to sell. they didn't. they went public. it has been a tough road but now looking good. david: sound a lot like yahoo! remember the deal they missed out on? unfortunately however we're still waiting on the numbers from hewlett-packard. i just want to see, chris, if you get any idea from groupon these numbers, what is happening after-hours, is that indicative what is happening at all in social media in general? >> i think it is. you look at the tech space, and ou

that is correct down 15% for groupon.celine is very interesting, they also guided below expectations for 2014, but a lot of the analysts are saying the guidance is typically conservative. this is how you work it on the positive side. bottom line is they did have a great profit growth for the last quarter here. finally i just want to close and give a little bit of kudos to warren buffett and the management team at businesswire. this is a company that he owns. "the wall street journal," some other publications are reporting that businesswire is going to stop giving high-frequency traders direct access to corporate earnings. you know, many companies use businesswire to report their earnings. businesswire then turns around and sells it to the media companies, to the dow jones of the world. the problem is, direct access through businesswire gives you a microsecond advantage before you go to the other media outlets and, of course, high-frequency traders and others pay for that, they decided to discontinue it. i think it's the r

let's start off with groupon, the coupon company, as you called it.groupon very carefully, you do see an up arrow here. and when we're watching groupon which has gained about 80% in the last year, we're going to watch for earnings and revenue growth which should be key. also how are they doing with their goods business which really is only about 16% of gross profits. so the ipo price, you may remember, was $20, well below that. but with over the last 52 weeks has done well. then i'm going to briig you ovee here to hewlett-packard. meg whitman's baby, it's her turn around story. and right now the stock is up about 2% at $30.04 a share for hewlett-packard. and we're going to be watching for any profitability, product innovation. they swung to a profit in the last quarter which was a big deal. the enterprise group with computer servers has done better. we finally saw its first revenue growth in that particular group up the company in two years. so these will be some of the things that insiders will be looking for from these two names. back to you. liz: y

comes to groupon? >> groupon is a circus, right? a very entertaining sideshow. the stock was up 15% on the had lines and then people read through the release and discovered things are not going as swimmingly as the headline may have implied. now it is down 11%. a 24% swing after hours, that is out of some kind of comic book. truly unusual. the real story here is twofold. one, the transition from a desktop e-mail products to a mobile product, which is underway. the deeper one is the transition from being a daily deal company to more of a persistent provider of discounts. that is the more complex transition. that is the one that will be much lower than expected. the mobile transition will be much easier to pull off. >> one more for you. priceline coming out with results after the close. what do you think? >> i think that is a much more impressive story. it is underestimated consistently. this is a hugely strong european story. it was thought of as some kind of strange william shatner-driven play domestic
