guam with a preemptive strike in response to u.s. bomber flights over the korean peninsula. what to you make of that? >> that's exactly right. that threat against guam alarming. thousands of u.s. service members based there at two the air bases. also a very specific threat. north korea specifying the kinds of missiles it might use to target guam including intermediate ballistic missiles. that follows, as you mentioned just yesterday u.s. b-15 bombers two of them flew over the korean peninsula out of andersen air force base on guam. it appears that threat to that air base related to those u.s. overflights, part of a consistent u.s. show of power in that part of the world, the fact that north korean threat followed a couple of hours the president saying if they were to make threats, the u.s. would respond with fire and with fury, it's not clear that they were connected but the threat did follow the president making that statement. and it highlights what i've heard from a number of folks in the national security community in the last several hours that threats like that from a u.s. president, the danger is, you make a threat like that, it is something you have a danger if you don't follow through on that threat then. it raises credibility about the exercise of u.s. power beyond just the bombasticness of the president's words the
