we've got some light, scattered shower activity near guerneville.ng over toward glen allen. higher elevations are likely picking up the drizzle. this usually starts scattered but the atmosphere is moistening up and eventually it will be widespread rain. here's a look at the northern california area down into the north bay. that is where we have most of the rain at this point. this will shift inland. we have the part moving through today bringing us the steady rain. on the back end, the more unstable air is there and the colder air arrives tomorrow. that will bring the possibility of thunderstorms, similar to what we had on wednesday and thursday. wednesday was a widespread rain day and thursday we had sunny breaks in between but we also had down pours. here is a look at what we are expecting is fars rainfall amounts, anywhere from a half inch to an inch in most areas. the hills in the north bay could see an inch to an inch and a half. if you're going to the sierra, more snow is on the way. starting this afternoon, there will be a winter storm watch
