i'm kimberly guilfoyle on a major scare on capitol hill. a female driver tried to ram a gate by the white house. she was inshoed by law enforcement and shots started flying. while waiting, let's go to carl cameron near the crime scene. >> reporter: hi kimberly. if you look down the street, we're on the east side of the capitol. that is where this afternoon's wild chase was seen through the streets of the nation's capital. it ended around 2:00 this afternoon at pennsylvania avenue, the famous street that runs near the white house. a woman driving her black infinity apparently refused the instructions of secret service and law enforcement and began running into this. she then pulled through in a chase per suit. it wasn't long after she was on the west front looking down the mall to the traffic circle. she was pulled off and forced off the road by law enforcement vehicles. they pointed guns at car and ordered her to get out. one law enforcement official was hit by the car or injured during that part of the episode. the woman illuded the law of
