while speaking at a private event wednesday, guilliani was discussing what he called weak foreign policy decisions made by the president, when according to politico, he told the audience i know this is a horrible thing to say, but i do not believe the president loves america. he doesn't love you and he doesn't love me. he wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and i was brought up through love of this country. when asked about those remarks yesterday morning, guilliani appeared to be dialing back from his rhetoric. >> he is a patriot, i am sure. what i am saying in his rhetoric, i rarely hear him say the things that i used to hear ronald reagan say, hear bill clinton say he loves america. i hear him criticize america more than other presidents. >> and then the comments became stronger. >> mr. mayor, do you want to apologize for your comments? >> not at all, i want to repeat it. the reality is from all that i can see of this president, all i have heard from him, he apologizes for america, criticizes america. he talks about the crusades, how the christians were barbarians, leaves ou
