well, we are tracking tropical storm nicholas as it makes it way through the gulf of mexico. rricane watch has been issued for parts of texas as the storm is expected to strengthen before making landfall. let's bring in pedram. good to see you. this is absolutely the last thing the country needs. what are you seeing in the forecast? >> it is in a very warm area, and the water is conducive to further growth of the storm system. quite a bit of conventction. landfall, just about 12 to 15 hours away. certainly not far from seeing the direct impacts of the storm system, and the weather service taking it seriously. western louisiana through coastal areas of texas, brownsville, flood watches prompted in the region because the system will hug the coast and make landfall south of houston later on monday afternoon and monday evening with 60 to 65 miles per hour at landfall. should be just shy of category 1 hurricane, which is 73 miles per hour. that is not going to be the concern with the storm system. it is the amount of rainfall. the forecast models waivered back and forth with how mu
