sanjay gupta reports the last heart attack. joins us is sanjay gupta, our chief medical correspondent. sanjay, it's really looking forward to your documentary, but this is an amazing story you have to tell about a lot of people, but the former president of the united states particularly. >> i think, wolf, the thing that was strike suggest arguably he had access to the best health care in the world. certainly for all the time he was president and then afterward as well, without his knowledge really, he was sort of developing significant heart disease to the point where he had to have surgery. how could that happen? if he had access to the best care in the world. what is the lesson for anybody who worriys about heart disease? i asked these questions of former president clinton and doctors and what he is doing to stay healthy now. >> i was lucky i didn't die of a heart attack. >> former president clinton like too many people was busy. for years he ignored warning signs from his heart. in 2004 during an exhausting book tour, there

sanjay gupta joins me now.jay, the international aid groups are working hard to try to stem disease outbreaks at the camp through vaccine programs and early warning systems. are they having an impact? >> you know, it's very hard to paint with one broad brush the entire impact. there are certain enclaves where there's more impact than others. the area that you just saw there in that piece, anderson, there was several kids who likely had measles at one time or another. they had the rash. it had gone away but they had fever and weren't feeling well but hadn't seen a doctor because they were too ill to go the health center and there weren't doctors going around seeing the patients so it's a logistical problem. with regard to vaccinations, it's more complicated than you might imagine. children under the age of 5 are getting vaccines even at the time they check in or registration but children over 5 for various reasons, the aid organizations have told us this aren't always getting their vaccines. a lot of kids you sa

sanjay gupta is on the frontlines in kenya. sanjay gupta starts now. >>> welcome to a special edition of sgmd. the frontlines of kenya. we are over the border from somalia. we heard reports of people literally starving to death here. 30,000 children over the last three months. millions more at risk of simply dying because they don't have enough food. it is hard to believe and hard to take. that is what happens when you have the largest refugee camp in the world. the numbers are getting worse. they say 2,000 more people coming to the camp every day. 400,000 people are already here. keep the simple fact in mind. this camp was designed for 90,000 people. this entire situation made worse by the ongoing civil war in somalia. the militant groups have made it worse to get aid across the border. you come to the camps and meet the mothers and fathers and daughters. they are not too different from people in your neighborhoods. i met a father whose love for his boys demonstrated what any father would do. it will make you truly understand

sanjay gupta.amazing gabrielle giffords looked as good as she did but you could tell she wasn't using one of her arms, had trouble, you know, after a long wave, and so as you observed her, from these pictures, sanjay, how is she doing? >> well, it's exactly that. it's worth pointing out the beginning point of all this, january 8th, about three quarters of people who suffer gunshot wounds to the head like she had even survive. keep that in mind as you look at these images again. a little context. looks like she's acknowledging people, recognizing people, moving as you say just to the left side of her body. although her right leg is probably strong enough she's able to obviously maintain her weight, her right arm not moving at all. part of her rehab for some time. we've seen her go through that rehab, learning to right with her left hand instead of her right hand. these are things that take place there. she was saying thank you. it seemed like a lot. mouthing those words. i think as well as you point

sanjay gupta reporting on the region's devastating drought and famine. somalia at a new time, 8:00 p.m. eastern. >>> breaking news to tell you about. apparently an armed robbery, information coming in to us right now, at a check cashing store. on the line with us, broward county's sheriff department pio vita coleman wright. what exactly can you tell us? >> we received a 911 call about 9:30 this morning, regarding this possible robbery in progress at the check cashing store. this is located in an unincorporated area in central broward county near fort lauderdale, florida, and i can tell you that our s.w.a.t. team, they're preparing now to go in. we do believe that there is an employee, one female employee, still inside. and when we did try to make contact with the employee, early on, about four minutes into the call, she said that everything was okay and that she didn't need any help. clearly that was the suspect telling her to say that. right now, we're getting conflicting information. we're not sure if an armed suspect is, in fact, still inside. but i c
