these will stay very gusty and crease as the front blasts on through.ratures right now, it is mild outside, mostly still in the mid-50s, so the timeline with this storm, windy for everyone right now. periods of rain increasing tonight and some of those thunderstorms could be unusually strong for the bay area. it's a rare scenario that sets up that you've got a very strong jetstream right over central california which adds lifting force to some of these cells as they come ashore. extra lift. and we're watching wind shear with those winds coming in higher up from west to east and kind of southerly out along the surface boundary, so that sometimes gets these storms to rotate and also power up stronger updrafts, which means larger hail could be possible with some of those bigger cells. for tomorrow i think you'll see a progression through the day. the stormiest part of the day will probably be just before sunrise in terms of the widespread rain. by lunchtime, scattered showers and eventually decreasing showers towards 4:00 and 5:00 tomorrow evening. cool da

low humidity, gusty wind and some rapid fire growth out there and not only that, but we're very, veryt the surface, too. the wind gusts now, still 30 miles an hour here in town. gaithersburg, 29 miles per hour gusts and to dulles, 29 miles an hour as well. i think it's going to probably be nine, 10, 11 before we so a dramatic decrease in that wind, probably not so gusty by after 8 or 9:00. okay and that is looking like a lot of rain 2340 in here and that is a good cell in western and southwestern sections of pennsylvania and maybe some thunder and locatening. that has calmed down a bit. the problem is we're dry at the lower levels. when this tries to rain on top of us, it evaporates before hitting the ground and there is a fancy meteorological term for that called virga and that is basically rain that is falling and not able to touch the ground. we're under the storm track, too and under the jet stream, in the atmosphere where the planes fly and, as long as the storm track is in this situation, everything is orientd with winds at the surface to the northwest, the winds are blowing off

so things will turn wet and gusty once again. and to the south, very dry and actually temperatures are starting to rise. los angeles getting up to 26 degrees on your thursday. and temperatures will become even warmer as we head into the weekend. and now toward the east, jumping up to 23 in toronto and reaching the 20s if new york city and washington, d.c. finally, let's go over to europe. lots of clouds are blanketing much of europe. we can see this rotating clouds, this is a slow-moving, well-developed low-pressure system still sitting over the british isles and western wontinent. this one is -- continent. this one is producing thunderstorms, gusty hail, as well as mountain snow. and similarly stormy in the central mediterranean. but out toward the east things are getting drier in much of turkey. but heavy rain will be moving toward the north. moscow should be escaping from the rain with a high of 14 degrees on your thursday. still on the warmer side here at 16 degrees, to the west, a couple of degrees lower than average in lond

the gusty winds coming in off the ocean. the winds sustained still close to 30 miles an hour around parts of the east bay and though we've had a brief break around the it tri-valley including down to the s santa clara valley you can see off to the west of the peninsula we have the next batch which is rotating in coming in across the marin county coastline and you can see yellow and orange which may include hail or embedded thunder in this line and you can seep the progression. this is a two-hour loop. moving quickly. the next hour or so it will cross the peninsula. don't be surprised to hear rumbles of thunder with that line. behind it we're seeing some clearing, drier air should start to swing on through as we head through tomorrow. there's that line picking up around 8:00 tonight. overnight tonight. we can still see scattered showers. a little bit of snow there around mt. hamilton tonight and tomorrow morning the green goes away and the future cast drier northwest winds pick up during the afternoon. should start to clear o

if you were under it it brought some gusty winds. we saw hail down in fresno south fresno. a lot of hail reports there. there's where the stockton tornado was reported. now as far as what we're dealing with today the next storm has moichbd. plenty of rain to talk about throughout central california, san francisco, san jose getting drenched right now. getting snow at the higher elevation. this will continue through today even behind the storm system we're going to get the instability showers and thunderstorms that will be hit or miss as we go throughout the afternoon especially throughout northern and central california. much cooler too. that cold front swung through arizona overnight and yesterday and temperatures there definitely a little on the chilly side. 68 in albuquerque today, 76 in phoenix and there's those instability showers and storms that will include areas in oregon, isolated thunderstorms more or less some downpours and which will continue into the afternoon. arizona you're looking dry and cool. well this was the last in a series we had two storms this week in

that could be accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. as for china, parts of the southeast coast are seeing a break in the rain at this moment, but heavy rain will be moving in. so it's going to be wet on your saturday again but finally, dry weather will return on your sunday. so that's good news. now moving over to the americas, a strong low pressure system is starting to move into british columbia and the pacific northwest spreading stormy conditions here but as the system pushes on to the east, it's going to dissipate quite quickly and then we have a larger system over the midsection of the u.s. producing a mixture of rain and snow across the lower great lakes region and a threat of severe weather from iowa all the way down to northern texas. tornadoes are not out of the question overnight. and as the system moves towards the east, we're going to see snow in southern parts of ontario, quebec and a threat of the veer weather in southern texas and heavier showers across eastern mexico on your friday. meanwhile, the florida peninsula wil
