these are producing some gusty wind and some rain. we will be dealing with them for a couple of hours in baltimore and over to the eastern shore. the threat of showers will not be lingering around much past that. total precipitation is not bad. we're not talking flooding rain. where the showers have moved through and a few pockets of rain, we're talking a couple of tenths of an inch. the rain has been a lot lighter. officially, not enough to measure just yet. a few traces since midnight. the high-temperature today was cooler than normal because of the cloudiness and the showers in the area. we only get 80 degrees. 105 the record high in 1983. the hottest it has been this late in the year. a lot cooler than that tonight in western maryland. only in the 60's. westminster has cooled to 64. the temperatures will cool a bit as rain showers move through. there's a broad area of low pressure in the upper atmosphere triggering the showers but gradually, high-pressure near the surface will be from the west. temperatures will stay below normal.
