i'm savannah guthrie. matt, i know you felt some of the effects of isaac early this morning but it sure looks like the storm is saving much of its strength for other parts of the gulf coast. >> no question about it. about 4:00, 4:30 it was raining crazy in tampa, coming downside ways, a lot of heavy winds. take a look at the flags behind me, savannah, not really blowing that hard. in fact, we've got broken clouds, no rain falling in tampa, the clouds moving off to the west where, of course, isaac is now in the gulf. i'm not sure whether it's that we're in between bands of this storm or we showed you on that animation of the projected path of the storm that isaac is simply too far away from tampa right now to have any impact. but i will tell you that a hurricane warning is in effect from destin, florida all the way to morgan city, louisiana. states of emergency have been declared in alabama, mississippi, and louisiana as people there are bracing for a potential hit as early as tomorrow. we're going to get a
