a bondurant man was shot in the leg while deer hunting in guthrie county. the iowa department of natural resources reports 32 year old shaymus smith was struck in his right leg by a shotgun fired by another hunter around 2-30 p-m today. smith was taken to mercy medical center in des moines and his injury is not considered to be life threatening, it is believed that he was hit by a shot fired at a running deer. the incident is still under investigation. a possible security violation is under investigation at the des moines international airport... the report indicates that at 5:30 p-m friday, des moines police officers were approached by a delta employee who said he witnessed male envoy employee with a duffle bag avoiding t-s-a screening... he said the man walked across a ramp and re-entered into the concourse...the report says surveillance video shows the man with a security identification display area badge received his boarding pass after skipping the t-s-a screening...he then joined a line of passengers and boarded a plane that departed at 5:45 p-m...the
