>> gabe gutierrez, thank you so much. we'll talk about that rain right now with nbc news meteorologist dylan dreyer. it has been a rough few days in the south and there's more wet weather on the way. >> there certainly is, thomas. quiet right now in texas. but through the next couple of days we'll see more isolated severe storms start to develop. but as we get to wednesday and this cold front moves in, that's the best chance of seeing really heavy rain with some areas picking up four to five inches of rain this time centered closer to san antonio giving houston a break but still we're looking at another couple of inches possible in the houston area through the middle and end of the week. and that obviously will lead to more flooding. also want to point out the remnants of bonnie. it's made a mess of the memorial day weekend down through the carolinas. we'll start to see it clear out in the northeast by tomorrow but more wet weather is likely through tuesday down through north and south carolina. thomas? >> dylan, thanks s

gabe gutierrez, nbc news. >>> the brewing coffee controversy at starbucks. the target of a lawsuit which claims the company has been shortchanging its customers by overfilling their ice drinks with ice, and not enough of the actual beverage. tom costello has details on this court battle. >> reporter: no stranger to controversy, coffee giant starbucks is now the target of a lawsuit in which a customer in illinois accused the starbucks of false and misleading marketing and sale of cold drinks. that starbucks has engaged in the practice of misrepresenting the amount of cold drink a customer will receive. at issue, whether customers get more ice than drink when they order an iced coffee. in chicago, the woman is seeking $5 million in damages. outside a maryland starbucks today, mostly skeptical reviews. >> i think it's a familiar one. >> what else are we going to sue people for. what has the world come to. >> reporter: the suit includes a photo of a starbucks cup and claims the black lines on the cup are meant to guide baristas across the country in how much liq

one of them joins me, congressman luis gutierrez of illinois. congressman, how did you greet trump's arrival today in terms of how you assess the new world in which you as a member of the opposition party are living in congress with this as the titular head of the republican party? >> look, the republicans have to simply accept that this is the party of trump. as much as they don't want to accept the consequences of their electoral process and what they have been stewing for so long. so i gave my five-minute speech talking about the importance and how they have even taco salads in the senate dining room today. kind of so that we all understand when trump arrives here, the hispanics like i and others are being well received. look, it's their party. a couple of things very quickly it just seems to me. paul ryan met with him today. paul ryan endorsed comprehensive immigration reform in the 2005 bill. when it was kennedy-mccain. he was a sponsor of that bill. so seems to me they have huge differences philosophically on that issue and so many other i
