[laughter] alix: it's monday, man. guy: it is monday. is here to rescue me. she's going to dig into what is moving markets. abigail: this rally for the metals are standing out. on the year, we have copper, iron, zinc, industrial metals surging. this on the expectation of an economic rebound coming out of the pandemic. let's take a closer look at copper, also known as dr. copper, a great tell on global economic growth, and perhaps china in particular, given that they are the world's largest user of natural resources. over the last year, copper has a beautiful uptrend. you can see this out of the march low, up about wonder 50% or get each time testing the 50 day moving average. those buyers stepping up. it appears that is happening now. if we back up the picture a little bit and take a look at this huge rally in copper over the last few years, we are going to see that we have a parabolic uptrend. over this time, up 150%, one of the best rally for copper ever, back in 2008, and after the parabolic uptrend, typically have some consolidation.
