summit ridge blue skies, passing clouds and not much different in gwynn oaks. right now one exception down here north of the beaches in ocean city, we've got a little cluster of storms but for the most part things staying dry in the center part of the state. 91 the deal right now. it's hot and sticky. annapolis and easten cooking in the low 90s. the highest from annapolis south but humid in the northern part of the state. dew point's over 60. over 70 is with you have in the state capital. that is uncomfortable. our heat index values reflecting it. feeling like the mid-90s. bottom line, a pretty quiet pattern. last night most of the storms were rocking down in virginia. we missed out on most of the active weather for our fireworks. that was good but today north carolina getting in on the action. the whole boundary has shifted south of our state. often times the storms will fire up on top of that boundary or just south of that boundary. get a little outflow going. the storms are down in the carolinas, but this boundary is set to shift. the stationary fronts don't

[applause] >> that was jeff gwynn in any event posted by the arizona history museum in tucson. for more information visit arizonahistoricalsociety.org. >> what are you reading this summer? booktv wants to know. >> i have a long list of books but some are unfinished and some are new. the first book i am working on is montezuma by robert kaplan about the whole issue of central asia where i think most of the politics of the next 25 years ago into a curve. i have read chapters of it when i travel to various parts of indonesia but i want to read the whole book. i started in february. another book was given to me by a fellow in my office from the american academy of mechanical engineers who worked with me on the question of water. i said to him and tell me what problems with water are going to be over the next 20 or 30 years and this book he gave me and said i want you to read it. i was never able to write a perfect report but a good book to read about the question of water. is an issue that we do need to think about in the future. george friedman wrote a book called the next hundred
