they will continue to treat -- i agree with gwynn. what we see on this tape as with her son is tantamount to predatory behavior on african-american men, and they are treated like animals in terms of the way they're being shot killed and for the most part they have been getting away with it. >> yes. >> we are really grateful for this. >> beyond the shooting there's the cpr issue. this man is now on the ground. there is a lot of debate. i think we can play this tape as to whether the officers really offered him life-saving assistance. this was in the immediate aftermath. from a legal point of view what do you see happening here? >> simply they're handcuffing him. it's not clear whether he is dead or alive or any degree of cpr would have helped him. very, very different in this case from the eric garner case because there had there been adequate life-saving support -- one of the many hanging around actually intervened to help him, he may well have survived that encounter. i don't think this encounter was survivable. >> it always feels te

that's gwynns falls parkway in front of us. that is one area we found ourselves in. throughout the neighborhoods here if we can get up to ricerstown road here in a second throughout the neighborhood you are seeing dozens if not hundreds of individuals carrying rocks and bricks waiting for an opportunity to throw something at the police. when they do and if they are in range of police police are shooting either pepper bullets or they are marking them with paint, and i'm looking down riserstown road and you can see the smoke at the end of the road. right near north avenue and pennsylvania avenue very close to the location where freddie gray was arrested and there is -- that's where the cvs is that's being looted, and that's also where a police car is being burned. you can see the black smoke now really picking up. i don't know if other structures or cars down there are burning but the smoke be has gotten worse in the last few minutes. there seems to be a lull in activity at this point. police now in a purely defensive position. they can't get to the police car or the c

that's where this started near the gwynne falls parkway. tisha, you actually lived in the city. what do you have for us? >> i have two pieces of information. one, you know people really do care about baseball. so the -- we have more information on what's happening with baseball. comcast sports networks o's insider says that the gates are closed and the fans are in the stands. they're doing batting practice and the commissioner is there. he's on his regularly scheduled tour of the major league ballpark ballparks. we don't want to diminish how serious of a situation this is live as you can see. that right there the north avenue area and we were just told that the maryland transit police had a lieutenant who was injured in the penn north metro station in that area. they had two agency vehicles that burned. we have been showing the pictures. they have 150 transit police officers dispatched to protect their transit stations. so that would explain why that mta which is the equivalent i guess you should say of the metro system down here in the d.c. area it's the mta system up in baltim

this was in the gwynn falls area. this is near mondawmin mall where most of this began. it's in an area where it's a major thoroughfare. there's a metro station over there. buses come through there. school kids on any number of days, normal day. there would be a lot of them in there in this time. now we're getting new video that has been captured from one of the helicopters. this is the second one we've seen today. we saw a police cruiser on fire but just behind it there was a police van. this is the second one. in addition to the rocks and the bricks and the plywood and the looting, they're contending with fires while trying to stay ahead of the protesters, keep the rest of the community safe and stop them from getting further in to downtown and disrupting even more. >> more than one car there. looks like it could be a number of vehicles on fire. >> a police van or what may have been a bus right behind it also set on fire there. we saw fire trucks able to put that fire out. right across the street from the cvs. still the big question remains will the mayor call in the n

i'm at gwynns falls and reisterstown road. this woman is trying to get home and this kind gentleman is letting her through. you can see that black smoke, something was just set on fire in that direction, the police are here holding their line at a stand-off. no stones -- i'm being told now that it is a car burning. that's the smoke that we're seeing down reisterstown road and i believe you're looking at that live video as well. i can spin down 180 degrees and look in the other direction on reisterstown road and see some black smoke rising up there as well. it's now dissipated but fires are being set. there was one set in the road here. you can see where i am this entire area is littered with the stuff that these people have been throwing at police officers. there's a chunk of brick. there was a tough scene out here for a long time. things have calmed down. if we take a walk down here a little bit more you can see that black smoke rising and in the distance you can see the maryland national building one of the icon i can -- ico
