. >> well, first of all, the machines can be hacked. there's no question about that. their machines can be hacked. but it's far worse than that, lou. dominion, dominion is a company that's owned by another company called smart matter. through an intermediary company. smart matic is a company that was formed way back in about 2004, 2003, 2004. you're going to be astonished when i tell you how it was formed. it was formed really by three venezuelans who were very close to, very close to the dictator chavez of venezuela. and it was formed in order to fix elections.

specific.oi in georgia it uses dominion's voting system to be clear, we're not alleging the system was hacked, we're not alleged it was written to throw the election to joe biden. but the problems with the system are intrinsic and here's one of them. it doesn't produce a paper trail of the voters decision. instead, the state of georgia it uses something called ballot marking devices. bmd. the machines print the piece of paper indicating the candidates the machine say the voters chose. that's about to be reassuring, but it's not really evidence of voter intent, is it? no, it's not. according to a paper published in february at princeton, georgia tech, berkeley, balloto marking devices are not secure. "bmd's are also subject to hacking, bugs, misconfiguration from the software that prints the marked ballot.

another concern is these hack and leak attacks much that's what he saw in 2016 with the hacking of e-mailsm democratic operatives and leaking them out to the media. that it teams we're a little late for that in this election cycle. seems like we're probably out of the woods for anything like that this year. and then the big one though are the perception hacks on social media. that is the idea of making it appear that something is happening that's not actually happening by hacking into prominent social media accounts. we've seen hacks like that in the past something on election day could be perhaps dangerous again, officials are not telling us they're seeing any of this we talk to the folks over at fire eye, the cybersecurity firm and over the paragraph couple days to get their sense of what the worst case scenario there is here's what we were told >> it could be any number of cyber threats that could certainly come into fruition to me the worst case scenario is that the u.s. population loses faith in the democratic process and doesn't respect the results of the election. >> so, jon, the co
