we have hadley heath manning. i think this could be a double-edged sword. want to see millenials buying houses, starting the american dream but we get nervous when the delinquencies tick up. >> there is a lot of subheadlines on the high personal debt. my family is part of this. we bought a new home in 2019. largely in part due to the fact interest rates have been so low. when we see headlines saying month after month, interest rates, record lows, interest rates record lows. no surprise we're seeing headlines that say personal debt , record highs. price of money. borrowing is cheap. people will do with is rational, what makes sense. you mentioned mortgage debt a big part of this. another part of the story, student loan debt continues to increase. credit card debt this is the part where my generation, millenials doing more borrowing. more delinquencies. that is a problem. don't want to be delinquent on credit card balances s that lack of resources among young people or lack of financial savvy or both? personal debt, not something you want to hit record highs.
