(justine) because of recent crime in the upper haight and panhandle neighborhoods, many people came out to a meeting in san francisco to express their concerns. the meeting was hosted by district supervisor london breed. the police chief also addressed a recent homicide in the neighborhood, but he said it is an area of low crime. after three people were found dead from an apparent drug overdose on the street, people asked for more foot patrols in the area. advocates for the homeless were also present. they asked the community to be more understanding of the need for affordable housing and health resources.
