indeed, i think the longest article i've seen on haiti recently was one about ron paul's a visit to haitidvantage of the electoral cycle that's now in process to refocus some attention on haiti, the electoral cycle of course has been delayed itself the past three years which the first round of congressional elections have taken place three years ago, delayed because of debates over the organization of the electoral council, sort of, so maybe politics as usual for haiti. but on any event, on august 9 the first round of congressional elections were held. and i gathered the electoral results are dribbling out this morning, or yesterday, and it's 10 days after the election, 11 days after the election. we will do about those result of the more from people have been able to get into the website. this first round of elections saw something like 20 of 35 senators elected, and every member of the 120 members of the house. the elections themselves have been characterized in a variety of ways. interestingly i saw a headline in a miami herald, they characterized it as chaotic and violent. the oas obs

right now winds at 45 and gusty winds with the squall over haiti and the dominican republic. we'll watch it, but the threat seems to be diminishing. i'll have the rest of our weekend forecast coming up in a few. >>> there's some new information tonight in the search for a convicted sex offender who walked away from a court ordered home visit in hyattsville yesterday. this was breaking news at the top of our newscast last night at 11:00 and tonight 49-year- old james norris, jr. is still missing. authorities are now offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to his capture. we also know a lot more about his history and just how dangerous he could be. norris is serving a 34 year sentence for a serious violent crime, first degree rape and assault. he'd been on probation and released to a state hospital after 23 years in prison, but he has not been following the rules. norris never registered as a sex offender as he is legally obligated to do. in august of 2012 he was found to be using drugs and had been arrested, both probation violations. so if you see him, please call
