temperatures inland in the east bay also in the low 70s, upper 60s for fremont, mid-60s around half moon bay cooler and you have a better chance of seeing some measurable rainfall and up in oakland in the north bay, only upper 60s to maybe around 70 degrees or so. let's look at the temperature trend for livermore over the next ten days because while we have the cooler than normal temperatures tomorrow, we return to near average by the end of the workweek into the weekend, maybe a little more of a warm-up by the middle of next week. that's beyond the scope of the seven-day forecast. we'll keep you updated on that. speaking of the seven-day forecast, let's look where things take us. temperatures tomorrow about 5 to 10 degrees below average, low 70s for most inland parts of the bay area, closer to normal temperatures thursday and friday. some additional cloud cover by saturday, but it won't result in much rain chance. the rain chances look like they'll stay below 20% which means any outdoor plans over the weekend, things look pretty good at this point including coastal parts of the bay area whi

we're at 70 out of half moon bay already at 84 in san francisco. and you can see some low 90's up in the north bay as well. so the highs today are expected to be very impressive, but it's all about whether or not we start to get that on shore flow back. if we do, it is going to keep us a little cooler. the what you see here. so this is the time of day we're going to see just how that kind of plays out. we were to beat any records, we have to 90 degrees in san francisco. 91 in oakland, you can see those are just set back in 2022. santa rosa is a 95 degree record from 1921. napa 94. same story in redwood city in half moon bay, a record from 1998. for the day would be 82 degrees. so it's possible that we get there. but we'll have to see how this afternoon plays out. meanwhile, obviously, a lot of blue skies out there, a little bit of a haze in the sky as well as we are under a spare. the air alert for air quality today. and in addition to that, we've got a high surfeit advisory out at the coast looking out for some of these waves potentially on north a

but check out half moon bay already at 77 degrees. pronounced half moon bay, 18 degrees warmer. you're seeing close to that in santa rosa and napa as well. so it's the beginning of our little heat snapped. i mentioned the wind was pretty calm down at the surface. however, we do still have some of it up in elevation. and as we go throughout the day today, we'll see things get a little bit better. but it really isn't until tomorrow that it starts to pull back completely notice tomorrow morning. still a little bit of that northerly flow happening by the time we get into tomorrow night. now we start to get back our onshore flow. that cooler moister air that starts to roll in a little bit. this is why have a little concerned over that wind because humidity levels are lower in the teens in the 20's up in the north bay where we've got some of that wind that is rolling. so that is just to say, be careful over the next couple of days. we have the heat kind of kicking in, right. and we've got a little bit of that wind up in some of our mountain

we can get a. >> 2,703 pound pumpkin will be very happy. >> the half moon bay world famous art in pumpkin festival will run this weekend both saturday and sunday in half moon michael thomas kron. 4 >> firefighters in marin county are planning to conduct controlled burn this week on mount tam. as long as the weather conditions remain clear as of now that burn wood happened sometime between tuesday and thursday. the county says up to 34 acres of overgrown vegetation can be burned between stinson beach in mill valley. they also add that controlled fires help take a proactive approach to fire management and ask that you don't call 9-1-1. if you see smoke coming from the area during those times and 2 months after those deadly wildfires ripped through maui. western malley has now reopened to visitors. this is coming as nearly 17,000 people have signed a petition calling on hawaii's governor josh green to delay the reopening. they believe that hawaiians have not had enough time to grieve. the governor says he empathizes with their concerns, but he has a different number in mind. >> it's 8,773. t

what are some other ways for people to get to the san mateo county coast and half moon bay? >> well, not many. if i'm being completely honest. you have highway 84 pescadero creek road and then, of course, highway one from the north and the south so 92 is probably the most convenient for most people coming from the bay area. um, so yeah, definitely expect some traffic. with that said, there is a northbound 101 closure at whipple and redwood city this weekend all weekend. so keep that in mind as well. >> oh right, right. i mean i suppose depending on if you're coming from a little farther north, you could consider taking like 280 over to one. right. and then if you're right and if you're from the south, you could do, i think, what is it, 84 woodside and then over to woodside road. >> sure. those are both options in woodside. you know over this this winter that we had woodside road or 84 was shut down for, for months. but it is wide open that is certainly an option. so you would take a 101 or 280 exit west on 84 or woodside road and that'll get you there and then come up north

this is half moon bay and really large swells out there., the national weather service still issued a advisory for big waves there. and we'll see those maybe 17, maybe 22 footers out there along the coastline. that advisory continues until 7 o'clock tomorrow evening. so be careful not only for people that want to swim, but people want to go fishing or anything along the coastline get knocked off the rocks very, very easily. all right. check out the temperatures right now. 75 in half moon bay to 77 degrees right now. pacific at the coast, 80 in san francisco. you've got 79 in fairfax. 71, but they a 92 and hot santa rosa. so all around these temperatures really warming up. so going to be seen if we calculated records. i don't know if any fell today, but i think there's a very good chance. we're going to see numerous record set by tomorrow. things are setting up now that we're going to see that offshore wind developing. in fact, you kind of get the hint of that today. we cleared out along the coastline. i think overnight tonight we'll see tha

upper 80s for daly city and in half moon bay. isco we will hit the low 90s in the downtown and mission district areas. for the north bay, 90 in mill valley and 96 in ukiah. as we deal with the high heat across the region, it will back off by the end of the weekend as we prepare for a change in our pattern that could bring about a bit of rain. looks like most of the rain is further north to the bay area, but we will see a quick ramp up of temperatures and then a bigger cooldown possibly as we go towards next weekend. the first round of rain, possibly half an inch of rain but there's not a lot of it as you go south of san francisco. that blue area is about 0.1 of an inch of rain or less. there could be half an inch of rain or more for parts of the coastal northbound. we will watch out for that for tuesday. in the meantime, we are focused on the high heat, the heat advisory that continues through tomorrow evening and reach into the low 90s on saturday. some 70s in next week's forecast, and can't wait for that but we have hot temperat

it's kind of cool in half moon bay. let's look at the whole bay area. let me turn on the clouds.ooking. we are waking up to cloudy skies throughout the bay area. taking a look at temperatures in half moon bay, we are in the 50s, 50s throughout santa clara valley and it is looking like a similar set up. vallejo is around 58. it will feel a lot cooler than saturday and friday did when the heat wave swept through. now we are waking up to cooler conditions and cloudy skies. i have some rain in the forecast too. we will see a quick splash of showers move in from the north. north bay will be hit first and right now it is closer to areas like crescent city, eureka. as it moves towards relevant bay area, it will start to dissipate. the bulk of the action is happening just offshore. watch what happens as it makes its way to our local community. we will see splashes of showers here or there in the late morning hours and then it clears up in the afternoon with cloudy skies. we ramp again tomorrow with another weak system with light showers tomorrow morning. then it clears up for the week. h
