it's an emotional milestone in half moon bay. today was the beginning of a two day remembrance for the horrific shooting rampage. it happened exactly two years ago, january 23rd of 2023. a farm worker shot and killed seven coworkers at two different farms where he worked. now, half moon bay is trying to figure out the best way the best memorial to honor those who died and stlight the changes made to improve farm worker living conditions. the city displayed artists renderings of potential designs for a possible permanent garden memorial in a downtown plaza. the former mayor of half moon bay says it's important any exhibit shows how farm workers were treated like modern day slaves. they work long hours. the place of rest, a shipping container, no running water, no heating, no air conditioning. so memorials like this are it's a it's a big step. that was the reality just a couple of years ago. the city and the community group called a loss will be holding an official commemoration ceremony tomorrow with community leaders and farm wor
