they weren't in the street by city hall, but then they started to move away from city hall and this is where we see them now and hopefully that suv can move off to the side and get to safety. somebody appears to be either lying in the street. >> it looks like it might just be a pylon or cone. i can tell you, earlier there was some violence and there were some things that did erupt but mainly look like this, protesters out in the middle of the street blocking traffic. were seeing them running now and hopefully doesn't get unruly to some extent but it looks like the officers are staying put in one place not is to run after anything that might be going on, violent in any way. >> i see what you're talking about, there's the orange cones in a barricade sign, sandwich board sign out in the middle of the road and certainly traffic has been blocked in the downtown area on santa clara as well as the sidestreets for quite some time. the protest originally, the demonstration started about 3:00 at city hall, but again we pointed out that big truck that was on 101, there it is again, that does appe

this is on 14th and broadway across from city hall. this is what we shot earlier. when we started to see things really get to this point for the looters were starting to break into things they smashed out the side windows, if you've been by the visit oakland, you probably have, there is a bart station right there. heavily traveled area. this message several of the windows. you can see people crawling into the store, filling baskets . it was closed. in fact, it looks like some of the store was boarded up, but we know that didn't stop some of the looters. because across the street at the chase bank they had ripped down the apply board and plastic it's not clear if they went into the bank, but they clearly ripped down the cardboard that cover the glass and made their way into the store, filled the basket worth of stuff, baskets worth of stuff. this is video of the chase bank, now we are having reports of the target several blocks of the road from here, probably about 20 blocks up the road from here we will keep an eye on the situation, details continue to pour in from

eric: president trump in a fox news virtual town hall, live from the lincoln memorial. america together returning to work, 7:00 p.m. eastern. thanks for joining us. arthel and i say -- jon: some states moving to return to normalcy while other states not so fast as figuring the best way to reopen the economy continues to divide the nation. good evening, i'm jon scott. this is a special two-hour edition of "the fox report". antilockdown protesters across the country refusing to stay at home, hitting the streets to demand loosening or end of restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. those rallies in the northeast, south, midwest and west coast, coming as 13 states are set to take steps tomorrow to join those states that have eased restrictions. among them, new hampshire, minnesota and florida, all of which saw protests today. we have fox team coverage with reporters across the u.s., but we begin with christina coleman. she's live in los angeles. christina? >> more than half of the states in the u.s. have started some type of reopening efforts, and they vary, from allowing

today's town hall i'm sure is going to be great, but it will never be last week's town hall.is wyatt doing? >> he's doing great. a week old. you recently wrote an op-ed in the washington post which i urge everyone read, how to stay safe as states reopen. what do you think are some of the best practices? >> so, states are reopening but the virus hasn't changed. so there are things you can do to reduce your own risk. so keep on these good public health practices, like washing your hands often. don't plan any gatherings. this is not the time to start planning dinner parties and play dates. keep social distancing when you can. and if you have to go back to work, then ask your employer about guidance to stay safe. for example, is telecommuting still an option? are there staggered shifts you can do? you can also reduce the risk for others as well. wear a mask. don't use public transportation if you don't need to. reserve it for those who have to. and you can also keep a daily diary of your contacts in case you end up getting the virus and you can help contact tracers. and finally,

this is right in front of city hall. at one point the protesters were on highway 101, they were smashing windows on cars that were trapped. they have since left the freeway and now gathered at intersection in san jose. we have seen a heavy police previn presence on city streets and trying to make sure everything remains peaceful so far. we've been watching this going on for not our now. we want to show you a video from about an hour ago. watch this. >> along 101, crews blocking traffic and then this, protesters smashing out the window of one car. it is unclear what led to this in the first place. the protester on highway 101 have now gone to another street . we saw another protester trying to break the window of a car. were not sure what led to this another one coming along the other side. tense situation for these folks they are protesting the death of george floyd. one police officer charged in the case. the officials are not ruling out the fact they may charge more officers in this case. it is still early in this game
