nbc's halle jackson live for us tonight at l.a.x. halle, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, brian. that passenger is in court tonight where she is pleading no contest. her sentence suspended as long as she stays away from l.a.x. here unless she has a ticket. but the tsa and other investigators are still trying to determine how she boarded the plane to this airport without a ticket. 62-year-old marilyn hartman's flight from san jose to los angeles landed her in jail. arrested after a southwest airline employee discovered she never had a ticket for the flight in the first place. law enforcement sources tell nbc news she got past the tsa document checker, where travelers must show their i.d. and boarding pass, by blending in with a group of other people. she did go through a security screening, which is why san jose officials insist other travelers were never in danger. >> the public safety was not compromised in any way. because the passenger did undergo screening by tsa officials. >> reporter: this security breach comes less than

let's go to hollywood now and halle jackson. what is the latest where you are on hollywood boulevard? >> alex, yet again today we're seeing people leaving -- flower. there are some questions yet to be answered by police. the result of a toxicology report. that will tell whether williams had any substances in the body. we have learned more about how his personal assistant became concerned when robin williams did not answer knocks on the bedroom door. william was found. it came out in the coroner's report yesterday, or at least a conference. there was some backlash on social media about the level of details that was released about how exactly williams apparently committed suicide. remember those, others have pointed out the level of details is often included coroner's report. the sheriff's department made a particular effort to try to keep privacy for the family. so, for example, the autopsy was performed in napa county. napa has a government facility. as we heard yesterday, the sheriff's department really wants to make sure there

ferguson police chief tom jackson had planned to release the name of the officer involved today, but changed his mind after death threats were called in to the police department, city hall and posted on social media. the officer was placed on administrative leave saturday after shooting and killing 18-year-old michael brown. witnessed say brown was unarmed and had his hands in the air when the officer shot him. police have not said why the officer started shooting, only that it was preceded by some sort of scuffle. brown's death has sparked racial tensions, protests and looting in the small suburb outside st. louis. today reverend al sharpton joined brown's family in a call for calm. >> no one has the right to take their child's name and drag it through the mud because you angry. to become violent in michael brown's name is to betray the gentle giant that he was. >> county law enforcement is investigating the shooting. the fbi launched a civil rights investigation. police in ferguson are investigating another threat, this time the threat on social media. in a video posted online, computer hacker known only as anonymous is encouraging the people of ferguson to take a sta

community came to this town hall meeting about ways to prevent similar events from happening in the future. kevin powell is a writer, activist and public speaker, with him is kevin jacksonecutive director of black sphere and author of "the big black lie." kevin powell i want to start with you. take us inside last night's event. >> it was incredible. we had hundreds and hundreds of people from st. louis area, the ferguson area last night at the missouri history museum and you're talking about the kind of diversity that exists in our country, white sisters and brothers, black sisters and brothers, young people, older people, people of all different backgrounds. it was an incredible coming together. number of residents said they had never quite seen anything like that enparticularly in the aftermath of what happened in ferguson. we especially listened to the voices of young people and there was a lot of talk about sustaining this work, sustaining this movement for opportunity of equality and justice for all people but most importantly we talked about peace. we talked about love. we talked about healing of this community, which i think is very important, something we often
