rise today to honor manny jackson, a legendary basketball player at both the university of illinois and edwardsville high school on his induction into the naismith memorial hall of fame. he excelled in high school before attending the university of illinois. he was one of the first african-american letter winners and starters for the illini. mr. davis: after graduating, manny played for the harlem globetrotters. while he was a tremendous player , he also purchased the globetrotters and help red vie the franchise, leading the team to 12 straight years of double digit growth. manny also continued his career as a philanthropist he founded the illinois academic enrichment and leadership program at the university of illinois and partnered with leaders at lewis and lack community college to create the manny jackson center for the humanities. i have had the privilege of meeting manny on multiple occasions and have nothing but respect for the work he does. it's an honor to congratulate him on his enducks into the naismith memorial hall of fame but i'm even more proud to recognize all the contributions he's made to this world. i yield back. the speaker pro tempore: th
