hallie jackson is in palm beach where president-elect trump is spending the holiday weekend. other key issues toold from the president-elect or his team, hallie? >> hey, craig. i think it's going to be a fairly quiet start to the holiday week here in south florida. the president-elect, of course, spending the holidays at his mar-a-lago property just down the road from where we are. i think the israel issues is one that you saw president-elect trump tweet about over the weekend. we may see more tweets from him, possibly today, but notable that he waited on an issue that has created friction between benjamin jett netanyahu and pret obama. it's not typical we would see an incoming president get so involved in international foreign policy, not just on saturday talking about the security council resolution, but even earlier, issuing his own statement about what he believed the u.s. should do. a senior official telling us at the request of israeli officials. he has big cabinant vacancies still to be filled, not as high profile as the state department, but v.a., secretary of agricult

first to our traveling correspondent, hallie jackson, who's in the arena in cincinnati. hallie, a couple of questions. i understand capacity is around 17500, how big is the crowd, how far out is mr. trump, and what's expected tonight? >> reporter: let's do it in that order, brian. the crowd, when we can expect to hear donald trump, and what we can expect tonight. you just heard the crowd chanting "lock her up," which is the first time i've heard that this evening. the floor is about a half, three quarters filled. a lot of empty seats in the lowered level with the scheduled start time passing about a minute ago. this is a stark dumpbs from what we saw on october 13th, the last time we were at this arena when it was absolutely jam packed, standing room only on the floor. it seemed like every seat, at least in the lower level was full. that was during the campaign. he's already won the presidency now, so perhaps that accounts for some of that. people have been chanting "drain the swamp," for example, some of these introductory speakers. the vibe is a little bit more subdued.

let's go now to nbc's hallie jackson in west palm beach, florida, tracking the trump transition team with more reaction. hallie, let's talk a little bit about this statement that's coming out from the president-elect. how are you reading this? the first part of it saying, it's time for our country to move on to bigger and better things. seems like he's dismissing it, but saying, nonetheless, i still will be briefed by intelligence officials about this. >> reporter: here's how i think the statement could be interpreted. that first part, the section where he says, it's time for our country to move on, essentially, this is reiterating what he said publicly yesterday. donald trump is not somebody who has backed away from prior statements often and you remember when he appeared on the steps of mar-a-lago and spoke with reporters for about ten minutes late last night, he said roughly the same thing. that we ought to get on with our lives, and i'm paraphrasing here. it's the second part of the statement, his meeting that's going to be happening within the coming weeks with leaders of the int
