jonathan hall is at the courthouse. jon, we are learning more about the possible motive in this case. is that right? >> reporter: yes. very tough case here. it was a scary crime. armed men in a home with a teenage girl upstairs in her bedroom hiding. that led to the arraignment of right here at quincy district court. this man will likely be being held on $100,000 bail. kevin murphy's is charged with home invasion, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and gun charges. he has a long criminal record, including two open cases. according to the state. police say murphy and an accomplice who is unknown at this point, and who wore a mask broke into a quincy apartment and taped a pregnant woman to a chair. the woman's 16-year-old bedroom. she called 911 and whispered to a dispatcher as all this was happening. the state says murphy was with that other man who wore a mask and wanted money. >> the unknown suspect started asking her where is the money. get the money. she told him to take her purse and wallet and
