hal always good to see you. we appreciate the time. let's start, if we can, with the significance of this strike that killed saleh al-arouri, the deputy head of hamas and the founder of the group's military wing. he had been in israel's sights for several years. he'd been, before the october 7th attack. what impact does his killing have on hamas operations ? >> alex? obviously it has some dramatic implications for hamas, much their leadership is actually outside of the west bank, gaza strip, certainly outside of israel. uh it's more famous than a number of them live at the ritz-carlton and doha and qatar. but there's a fairly big presence, uh, in lebanon and, and probably some and obviously there are some in syria as well. and it's basically saying, look, if, uh, israel can find you, they will reach out, they will hit you. this is not somebody that that was not an unknown, uh, you know , as a $5 million bounty on his head, if you will, uh, by the us, uh, the israelis had already said that they were targeting him. and this is a very precise strike. and the nature of how it was done, where it was done, uh, is something that's probably sending chills
