we're at the corner of main street and hammond. hammond right around the corner is the home where that fire broke out just after 3:00 this morning. we have some video we can show you from earlier. the call coming in at about 3:12 of a home fully involved. firefighters arriving on scene. they were able to make their way to the top of the stairs, but it was at that point that the fire went to two alarms. they are not releasing the name of the deceased because the family members have not been notified just yet. as a matter of fact, they're still trying to i.d. the person. again, just that one fatality. nobody else was at home at the time. the firefighters right now have contained that fire. it's knocked down. they are just now waiting on the state fire marshal's office to arrive and begin the investigation, but at this time, to repeat, one person fatally injured in this fire here on hammond street in gloucester. we don't know what caused that fire to start. but nobody else was injured. we're still waiting on more information as it bec
