up until he was taken away in handcuffs. as he arrived at the courthouse tonight to learn his fate, dottie sandusky was right there with him, holding his hand. she reportedly showed no emotion as the verdict was read. just blinked as each count was read out loud. on tuesday dottie took the stand in her husband's defense. she said he never had any inappropriate contact with the boys who stayed at their home or traveled with them. >>> sandusky's case led to the firing of hall of fame coach joe paterno. he died earlier this year of cancer. penn state also dismissed its president. criminal charges are now pending against two university administrators for failing to properly report suspected child abuse and for perjury. they are fighting the allegations and awaiting trial right now. and again, jerry sandusky has been convicted on 45 counts of child sex abuse. following the verdict the judge revoked his bail and ordered sandusky to be taken to the county jail to await sentencing, which is expected to happen in about three months.
