and i know hank as well as anybody, hank does not shy away from his support of barack obama. that. he's never shied away from his stance for civil rights. as a matter of fact, i did a huge interview with him for another network, and parts of it is going to air as time goes on. hank he told me the story he told years ago, when jackie robinson died in 1972, his hero, by the way, hank went to other famous black athletes back then and said, look, now that jackie has died we have to pick up from where jackie left behind and take over from here. the other black athletes didn't want any parts of that. hank said i will do it myself. he became very outspoken in the civil rights movement. he became very powerful. the atlanta braves ahead of the farm system that set in system the four winning titles. all of the stuff in the atlanta community with the chasing dream foundation and what you have. he's always been outspoken and out there. he doesn't have a problem with that. what he's had a problem with, people in the media, not bob per se, taking him out of context when he says what he say

you have to hank folks. we -- thank folks. we survey authors, our marketplace, our volunteers, our staff, because every year we try to improve. come the end of may is when bea, bookexpo america. the largest trade show in north america for publishers and books and authors, and our committee, they've already booked their flights. they're already planning who they're going to see, and their day is like every 10 or 15 minutes, and there's four of them that go. and they fill it because they want to talk to every author and every publisher that's on their list of top tier authors. so, you know, we start in may. and then we go after the sponsors and, you know, just keeps going. you know, the reading festival is 100% funded by grants, donations and sponsorships. there is no tax dollars that go to fund this reading festival. so it's totally self-supporting. so it's my job to raise about $100,000 every year on average. you know, we generate the $100,000, it's spent right back in the community. this year we had a record number of authors
