east. a pink carroll county and northern baltimore county and the northwestern section sucker harford county, might get a light coating of snow create the northwestern section of around harbor county. south and east is much warmer, just rain showing up on the radar down around ocean city and those locations. the system is winding down in the western maryland mountains. only a couple more hours you will have to deal with this. brown the metro area it is, mostly among -- mostly above freezing out. with these warm temperatures and the warm winter we have had without frozen ground, precipitation falls and almost just melts on contact. out to the north and west, 1.5 inches of snow on the ground in the colder areas. for the next couple of hours, then the storm is winding down. the national weather service is maintaining this winter weather advisory. some slippery spots could occur in some of those colder northern suburbs and out and western maryland as well. no advisory up for south-central pennsylvania yet. around an inch of slushy snow possible in some of the colder northern sections. as the system moves away, it will drag in some colder air and may be a light coating of snow o

east of that is too warm for that snow to stick. let's take a look at the temperatures right now. 35 in parkton. 40 at the inner harbor. 38 in elkton. you have those colder temperatures below freezing west. and that's definitely where the snow could be sticking throughout the next couple of hours. all this should be clearing out as we head towards the afternoon as we are expecting this entire storm to list offshore. some showers down in southern maryland then snow up towards the north but all is very minimal compared to what the storm caused out in the plains. this was the same storm system that brought all that heavy snow to colorado, and nebraska. not only is it falling apart, it's entering in warmer air and therefore we're seeing just mainly rain showers. tailgating in the mid 40's out there. scattered clouds and chilly conditions but not bad for a february day. as for tonight, at least around kickoff 40 degrees. temperatures will be dropping into the 30s. fortunately they are covered by a roof so the fans inside the stadium shouldn't have any problems. back to our area today doing last minute shopping or if you're heading to a d
