little bit of fog especially north and northeast where they had that shower up in hartford and -- harford and cecil county yesterday afternoon. overall we're generally looking and sounding the allclear despite the little bit of patchy fog. we got that warm flow pumping in more heat and humidity. frontal boundary back to the west. storms not as active as yesterday morning but storms will refire among the boundary and should reach us this afternoon. fom the timeline at 2:00 p.m. from north of philadelphia and west of hagerstown, we'll find the showers and line that should fill in by the ride home, by 6:30 or sooner we should have showers. 10:30, another shower or storm. baltimore southbound through dc and annapolis. this is one particular model highlighting more storms as we head through tomorrow morning and maybe resurging from the back end of the boundary around the central and southern portion of the bay with dry air come from the north. otherwise all of us should improve by friday. two-degree guarantee today 85. it will be warm and humidity. even though the graphic shows rain it should be dry unt

severe thunderstorm warnings in affect for cecil and harford counting in the 7:15 and also until 7:30. actually one was extended and we'll update you on that in a moment. we're seeing right around elkton, strong thunderstorms right now, just pushing to the south and it's the worst of it. possibly, hail in this line and also damaging winds possible with this. it's moving to the south quickly. we've seen purple and that's the best chance of hail and that's off to the west and also, this line goes to the northwest a little bit here and northern baltimore county, they could be seeing a thunderstorm or two come your way coming to parkton. this one's dying down. this is the one i was concerned with and it doesn't look like there's a lot left to it. let's show you what we have going on. we have a lot of watches and warnings. this is a watch in effect until 11:00 and there are more thunderstorms along the line and the track looks to be the same. they're the warnings we were seeing and underneath all all of this in the pink, accessive heat watch in effect for tomorrow. from noon until 10:00. y

a flood warning in effect for harford and cecil county. the rain is going to be celting in.ith that said, here's your forecast with temperatures around 73 degrees. 87% humidity and the winds coming in calmly, have been coming from the south, we'll see the temperatures as you see, temperatures right now are all around the state just around the 70-degree mark. 71 at the airport. 81 in ocean city and 70 in cumberland. we're going continue to watch the temperatures going up. the dew points are warm and an idea of what is going on with the storms and seeing the radar active, the rains picking up and the storms rolling through and see most of the state with these storms rolling by as the front continues to push through. dryer air for tomorrow and a bit of a break as the storms move through. high pressure moves in and monday is nice. with your sunset today, a southeast win on the bay at 5- 10 knots. looking at your forecast, heavy thunderstorms, humid and cloudy condition, 70 degrees tonight. a thunderstorm linger and tomorrow partly sunny and humid. most of the day pretty dry. >>>

but they are up in harford and cecil. but strong weather over the midwest. look at the storms rumbling through southern illinois, western ken 67 and tennessee. strong lines of thunderstorms dropping heavy amounts of rainfall. in fact, parts of louisville kentucky had highways that were shut down because of flooding conditions. conditions along 65. but it looks like this activity, some of the activity s going to ride up along a frontal boundary and move into the baltimore area by tomorrow afternoon and evening. after 11 or 12:00 tomorrow start to see thunderstorms firing up across the area. level two radar scanning the skies. no activity. clear conditions right now. but we will see the -- that heat and humidity in combination fire up the atmosphere to give us a chance for the severe weather potentially tomorrow. we are sitting at a warm 81 degrees out there. balmy 80 in d.c. like i said overnight, relatively quiet conditions. but tomorrow afternoon, severe weather potential as we may be under a slight risk category with the weather. have a look at how long th

most of the heavy rain we were seeing is in harford county to cecil county, also down in southern parts of the eastern shore. things again, as we said, are quieting down. we don't have any watches or warnings in our area at this point. winds are very light out there. there's a lot of moisture out there. dew points 71 degrees. temperature very close to that. when you have the combination and light winds, we know the fog is going to for. we're starting to seat already around the region. that will continue through the overnight. this front is leaving us. behind it a break in the action. but in this kind of an atmosphere we are not going to rule out a pop-up shower or thunderstorm during the day tomorrow or on tuesday, but the thing is no real organized storm. on wednesday, that's the next organized storm coming our way, and there is a chance for some strong thunderstorms as we head through the afternoon on wednesday, but before that, on monday and tuesday, looks like we're quieting down somewhat at least. tonight, things really starting to calm down. some fog forming later on during the ov

in fact right now cecil county and harford county under a severe thunderstorm warning. now it looks like the track of this particular system will take it generally skirting it northeast of the baltimore area. but i'm not gonna be surprised if we hear a little bit of a rubble across areasville, bel air, into perry man. so all in all a little bit of rough weather crossing again the northeast corner of the state, also moving into the new arc area, up in delaware. there is a look at severe thunderstorm watches and warnings right now. just give you a little better idea here. through 7:15 in cecil county, through 7:30 in harford county, dangerous lightning, the potential for small hail with these and certainly dusty winds in excess of 50 miles per hour. these are fast moves, tracking at 45 miles per hour shooting down into the eastern shore and into feds. so it's gonna be a quick system that moves through. this will not be quite as quick. our heat advisory up tomorrow from noon to 10:00. a score cher of a day on tap for monday. if not hot enough today we expected it to be hot

and this could cause some roadways, particularly in some of the rural areas and northern harford and seale seale cecil to accumulate water. we've been watching tropical moisture flow northward. during this afternoon, right now the heaviest rainfall is on the eastern shore, making its way towards portions of new jersey. but the system that is feeding it, that little trough of low pressure, remember we were talking about it yesterday in the northern gulf of mexico continues to pump moisture up the eastern seaboard. right now there is the north side of danny right there. not doing much of anything. as a matter of fact, danny is going to be staying off the coast. the thing that will cause us the rainfall, we told you this yesterday, is going to be that system right there as it makes its way north and east. now a frontal system back here to the west. that's moving in that direction. if the front goes off the coast and continues moving off the coast, we will have a pretty decent end of the weekend in the first part of the week. but if it gets stuck right there and there is a possible it could, it's going to

that is why some of you downtown and even through anne arundel county up i-95 and harford and cecil county getting sprinkles or light rain this morning. looks like the light rain still trying to sit and develop on top of anne arundel county and across the mid-portion of the bay. we did have rain in the forecast for the eastern shore but it appears as if the stuff is sitting on top of us. north/northwesterly wind will gradually bring in drier air. there's a system here. we pull our boundary back, at least pull the map back, you can see it extends all the way to the deep south. a wave of low pressure comes along the frontal boundary bringing this off the coast and we'll improve the setup but for today morning showers and trying to turn partly sunny in afternoon. at least on the west side of the bay. this afternoon our low end of the two-degree guarantee, 73. for tonight we clear things out and it gets interesting. forecast low 54. the record not much lower than that. in fact i think we have a better shot of actually making a record as we head into tuesday night and wednesday morning. 76 tomo

eventually, it's going to make its way over the border into maryland and start to come into harford county and cecil counties here. there's another thunderstorm gaining momentum here. it was smaller, about a half hour ago. this thunderstorm right now, also moving off to the east/southeast, at about 15 to 25 miles per hour. we can put it into motion and you can see it building up. and we'll continue to do that. the heat and humidity will keep moving off to the east. let's show you. most of the day we had the hazy sunshine. mix of clouds in that hazy sunshine. also down to the south, there are more. and that's going to factor into our forecast. a little later. but we'll get to that in a moment. today, temperature-wise, we're at 87 degrees right now. at this point yesterday, we were at 94. so there was a little switch. but it's hot out there. with the dew point at 71 degrees, it makes it feel each hotter. 91 downtown. with the humidity, feels like 94 in d.c., 93 in baltimore. and 98 degrees in ocean city. so yes, it has been a hot stretch. today, so far, we've topped out at 88 degrees. that's actually

east where we had that one thundershower develop in -- about joppatowne in harford county roll its way up 95 on in through cecil county. that was yesterday afternoon. otherwise looking at a dry setup. a little bit of patchy fog. the satellite and radar composite, a little bit deceiving in the early morning hours but essentially back here is where the cold front sits. ahead of it we have the warm flow of air coming up from the south. more showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon. though it doesn't look very active right now. our forecast model indicating the fact that showers should generate lunchtime through about 2:00 in the western mountains of maryland on in through the nortrn suburbs of philadelphia, northern new jersey and new york. that line starts to fill back in, get a little more active as we head through the latter afternoon and evening hours and around the bay to the eastern shore we have the threat of showers continuing through this evening and overnight and tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. there's our timeline on the eastern shore. slowly trying to get dry air working from the north. thou

storms just clipped cecil county and harford county yesterday.torm track up through central new york and may dive through southern new england. small chance of an isolated storm, otherwise just hot and uncomfortable. 95, will feel 105. do your best to stay hydrated and cool. >>> let's see what's happening on the roads with kim. qq>> 95 southbound approaching whitemarsh boulevard, that's mostly just volume building there. no real problems or delays or incidents or accidents as you approach 695/895 split. however, harbor tunnel, we had a disabled vehicle that was blocking the tunnel and actually holding traffic. traffic has since been released, the disabled vehicle has been cleared. however, you'll be experiencing significant delays at the harbor tunnel and fort mchenry tunnel as well. we have a crash in laurel, in maryland city, that is brachbridge road at whiskey bottom road and another crash approaching eastern avenue, moved to the right shoulder. mesa avenue and stillwater road in essex, still closed because of a pole down in the intersection.
