we're stuck with hot temperatures again, not as hot but pretty darn hot. 95 in rocky mount, clayton, harnett county. we have some rain cooled 80s up closer to the coast. heat indexes still it feels like 101 in clayton. feels like triple digit heat in sampson and cumberland county. eventually we won't have to talk about a heat index. tonight we'll keep it warm and dry. i bumped the rain chance up a bit as we watch the showers from the west. otherwise, mostly dry. 85 by 8:00. we fall to the 70s overnight. off at 74. so we do have some differences in the weather map. things are finally starting to change. so our weather, temperatures, rain chance also start to change. tomorrow the high pressure continues to back off just a little bit. that will open the door for a few extra clouds and showers. then your weekend is a typical summer weekend. highs around 90, scattered afternoon storms. we don't have any big impacting our weekend but next week we do. there have been changes to the timing of this cold front. all summer long i've had cold fronts or stationary fronts. they do do anything. this one is
