i'm joined by jamie harrison, the democratic national associate chair, former chair of the south carolinaty. good to see you. so, we saw what the republicans got. what do you guys got? >> well, chris, we're working on a lot of things right now to rebuild the infrastructure of our party. we recognize that for the past decade we allowed our infrastructure to atrophy. so, tom perez and his new administration at the dnc is working on improving what we do at the dnc internally, but also externally. we have added new staff, particularly in our technology department, coming from silicon valley, who are bringing new ideas, cutting edge technology to bear. but at the same time, we are going back to the roots of the party, which is we have to be a grassroots organizing party. >> that is exactly the point of this, they're using this to build up the number of people that they have to go out there. and to be realistic, this is something they started working on after they lost again in 2012. they put $200 million in it. so, this is the result of years and hundreds of millions of dollars of investment.
