now i want to tell you a little story about somebody i started off the book, a guy named jonathan harrod and he was a privateer out of salem, and his privateer was named the pickering. and during the american revolution, he captured numerous british prizes, brought in hundreds of cannons as many british prisoners. there's one battle in particular that he's very well known for. well, he's very well known for the time he's not known for it now. and we'll get to that a little bit later. it to do with a vessel called, the achilles. he was off the port of bilbao spain in june of 1780. and the achilles stood in his way and the pickering was a small ship. it only had 48 men on board 16 cannons. but the achilles was much larger, had 123 men on board, and 43 cannons. most of which were much larger than pickering. £6 cannons. so the british on board the pickering turned to jonathan harrington and said, know you better get out of here. this is not to be a fair fight. and it wasn't going be a fair fight. but jonathan harrington said to this man, i shan't from here. and he didn't. and the next mornin
