wise words as ever from harry billinge.er get cracking. there is afair bit late! better get cracking. there is a fair bit of cloud around today but not as windy as yesterday. we have some showers and more of us was the hours throughout the day. high pressure is in charge our weather and if anything it slipped a little bit further south. now, that has had a very subtle change in wind direction, so instead of coming from the arctic, it is coming from the atlantic, not quite as good a direction for us but don't be full. it will feel cold if you are outside. what we have is a fair bit of cloud, as i mentioned. showers across the north—west of scotland, showers and ease, if you already the west, and we will see further showers throughout the day. the wind is not as noticeable as it was yesterday except through the english channel, particularly the channel islands where we will only see highs of seven degrees today, so it will feel quite cold. these circles indicate the average wind speeds. gusts of course will be more than that.
