harry billinge's funeral later today. beer named after him. they do love him down there. time to get the news where you are. good morning from bbc london, i'm frankie mccamley. a group of londoners are donating ambulances to ukraine to provide urgent care for those injured in the conflict. around 28 have been delivered to the front line to replace those destroyed in russian attacks. it's been organised by a group who've been fundraising for medical supplies and have filled the vehicles with some of the items most in need. some other things that only paramedics could use, so it is special bags, with blood clots, turn a case, bandages, orantiseptics. so truly anything that could be needed on the battlefield, paramedics who are providing first aid. some fertility services at homerton hospital in east london are being suspended because of staff shortages. the hospital says it hopes to resume operations within the next six months, but in the mean time, patients will be transferred to fertility units at imperial college london

a remarkable man, remembering harry billinge. time for a look at the weather. here's helen willetts. we are continuing the dry story, thatis we are continuing the dry story, that is the story of the weather for the rest of the month, the rest of this week i was going to say, we do have some sunshine. that's on a picture an hour ago was taken in llandudno, but it is dry even where we have largely cloudy skies, well, mostly dry. as you can see here in east lothian, it is a little cloudier. in april we have only had 40 to 50% of the normal rain while working we would see, but it follows on from a dry march, and there is little sign of any rain for the rest of the week and month because high pressure is with us. we mayjust buy that we can start to see some rain creeping into the north and west. it is not totally dry, we do have cloud and with that cloud a you like drizzly showers. nuisance value more than anything else, not providing a great deal of rain but clouding up the skies for some of those. that is drifting southwards, brighter skies returning further north
